Roma down at the Olimpico, Bologna wins 3-2

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Roma’s crisis continues as they are defeated 3-2 by Bologna in the match at the Stadio Olimpico worth the 12th day of Serie A: goals by Castro, Orsolini and Karlsson decide. Useless, however, for the result, El Shaarawy’s double. For the Italian team third consecutive success in the league. Fourth knockout in the last five Serie A outings, on the other hand, for the Giallorossi team, with Juric exonerated at the end of the match and with the public’s protests becoming more and more determined and “noisy.”
After an initial study phase, the red and blue team found the first conclusion towards the goal with Miranda, which, however, was blocked without any problems by Svilar. On 16′ it is Pisilli who, after an exchange with Dovbyk, goes for the shot but again there is little power and Skorupski manages to neutralize easily. A few minutes later Orsolini skips past Angelino and crosses for Ndoye, who can’t find the ball and it ends up against the post: the striker falls victim to an injury and has to leave the field on a stretcher, giving way to Karlsson. On 25′ Vincenzo Italiano’s boys took the lead through Santiago Castro who, on the development of a corner kick, made the winning tap-in in a scrum. Roma’s response was not long in coming, in fact, at 30′ they hit a resounding crossbar with Soulè who, after receiving the ball from Konè, went very close to equalizing.
The Capitoline team still tries to break through the wall erected by the opponent’s defense, but struggles to make itself really dangerous; we go, therefore, to rest on the partial of 0-1. In the second half, Ivan Juric decides to insert fresh forces to try to take back the game and his team creates some interesting chances with Stephan El Shaarawy. The striker first came close to scoring on a free kick and then in 63′ scored the winning header on an assist from Mancini, signing the 1-1 also accomplice to a mistake by Skorupski. Not even time to rejoice for the Giallorossi, when Bologna immediately took the lead again at 66′ with the usual Riccardo Orsolini who, on a Castro’s throw, flew towards the goal and beat Svilar. At 72′ Roma threatened to capitulate with Dallinga’s Felsine tic-tac-toe, but the goal was nullified by Var for a hand foul by the Dutchman. Bologna’s appointment with the third goal, however, was only postponed as at 77′ Jesper Karlsson, on Miranda’s suggestion, scored his first goal in Italy to make it 3-1.
The Giallorossi did not give up and in the 82nd minute they opened the contest once again thanks to Stephan El Shaarawy, who unloaded a powerful shot under the crossbar giving the crowd a fiery finish. In the last minutes Dovbyk has a great chance for the equalizer, but the Ukrainian fails to take advantage of it and, after a near brawl, the Emilians manage to defend the 3-2 until the triple whistle. By virtue of this result, Bologna climbs to 18 points while Roma sinks. After the break, the Giallorossi will face Napoli at the Maradona, while the Rossoblù will return to the Olimpico to take on Lazio.
