BELGRADE (SERBIA) (ITALPRESS) – Romano Rossi is the new president of Confindustria Serbia. He was elected by the Members’ Assembly gathered in Belgrade and will lead the association of Italian entrepreneurs for the 2024-2028 term, succeeding Patrizio Dei Tos, who held the helm of Confindustria Serbia for five years.Romano Rossi, an entrepreneur from Perugia, who has been present in Serbia since 1990, initially as GM of the American multinational footwear company Intershoe inc, in 2001 together with his brother Enrico formed the company Progetti d.o.o, which is involved in the production of shoes and shoe parts for luxury brands in three factories (Vladimirci, Sombor, Knjazevac), employing more than 1,000 people.Founder in joint venture with important Italian fashion house of F.lli Rossi Shoes d.o.o. in Sombor, born from a spin-off of Progetti Sombor (as of today it employs about 650 people with significant future development plans).He has also held the role of deputy VP of Confindustria Serbia since 2015. “Being elected to the top role of such a prestigious Association gratifies me and makes me particularly happy. Representing more than 200 members will be a stimulating and complex task, but like any entrepreneur I will not shy away from new challenges. I will act in the absolute interest of member companies of all sizes and I am sure that, together with my team, we will achieve important results,” said the newly elected president.At the Assembly, Rossi also appointed the three vice presidents who, together with the president, make up the President’s Council: Erich Cossutta, President of Dragon Maritime Group, as Deputy Vice President Simone Apolloni, Senior Partner and Director of the company Systema Group; Francesco Masci, President of the Executive Council “DDOR Novi Sad” a.d.o. Novi Sad Active member of the General Council also remains Past President Patrizio Dei Tos, while Antonio Schiro is a member of the General Council of special importance to the Association appointed by the President.
