Rugby, Six Nations: Italy surrenders to Ireland, in Dublin ends 20-13

DUBLINO (IRLAND) (ITALPRESS) – First defeat for Italrugby in the Six Nations 2026. The blues of the Quesada ct, translated from success to the debut at the Rome Olympics against Scotland, surrender to Ireland, a winner at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin for 20-13 on the second day of the Tournament.

The blues after 10′ find themselves with the man less for the yellow inflicted on Lynagh by the Scottish Davidson, the first woman to arbitrate a match of the Six Nations. At 16′ the ‘Greens’ go in half with Osborne and Prendergas fails transformation (5-0). The National Team reacts and at 20′ shortens with Garbisi on punishment (5-3) and then passes to 32′, just after the tag to Casey, with the goal of Nicotera transformed by Garbisi that allows Lamaro and companions to go to rest for 10-5.

Rabbious start of the British in the resumption, with Conan who realizes at 43′ a goal of force not transformed by Prendergast (10-10). The blues at 52′ are seen to cancel a spectacular destination of Lynagh for a ‘ forward’. Ireland takes advantage of 57′ with the goal of Baloucoune transformed by Crowley (17-10), which then at 63′ puts a square (20-10) as well as its Garbisi district (20-13) at 67′. In the final the blues put us heart and pressing but the result will no longer change.

Sunday 22 (at 16.10) third commitment to Italy in the Six Nations to the Stade Pierre Mauroy of Lille against France, the Latin derby that assigns the Garibaldi Trophy.
