SanremoJunior Debuts in the United States: Final in New York on February 15

The winner of the U.S. final will receive a $600 prize and a trip to Sanremo to perform in front of a jury

For the first time, the SanremoJunior music competition, dedicated to young singers aged 6 to 15, is organizing an event in the United States. The national final will take place on February 15, 2025, in New York at La Scuola d’Italia, and the winner will have the opportunity to represent the United States in the global final of the competition, scheduled for March 26 at the Ariston Theatre in Sanremo.

SanremoJunior is an international competition founded 16 years ago under the patronage of the Municipality of Sanremo. The U.S. edition is organized by pianist Cristiana Pegoraro in collaboration with La Scuola d’Italia. The competition includes performances of pop, rock, jazz, folk, or rap songs in Italian, other foreign languages, or dialects.

The winner of the U.S. final will receive a $600 prize and a trip to Sanremo to perform in front of a jury composed of experts in the music and arts industries. “This event offers young singers a unique experience and the chance to perform on an important stage like the Ariston,” explained Cristiana Pegoraro.

Over the years, many participants in the competition have advanced their musical careers by taking part in events such as the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and international television programs like Britain’s Got Talent. The project was conceived and developed by Kismet srl, led by Paolo Alberti, who is also a UNICEF Ambassador.

Anyone interested in participating can register until February 10 by sending an email to sanremojunior.usa@gmail.com. More details are available at www.sanremojunior.us.
