Santanchè “Other year record for Italian tourism”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “It concludes another record year for Italian tourism, not only for the increase of attendance, that – according to the estimates of our statistical office – exceed 479 million (+3% compared to 2024), but also for the increase of the average stay, which is greater than that of Spain, France and Germany”. So in a Facebook post the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè.

“Another significant figure – he adds – is the growth of tourism spending: the active record of the balance of tourist payments reaches 19,6 billion euros (+7% on 2024) and international expenditure stands at 46,4 billion euros (+4.9%), demonstrating the increasing ability of the sector to generate value for the national economy”.

“Particularly relevant – the minister emphasizes – is the growth of the shoulder months and the diversification of the tourist offer, which allows a better distribution of flows in time and space. This is a sign of the ability of our entrepreneurs to interpret the needs of tourists, but also of the rediscovered international centrality of Italy, supported by a government that has placed tourism at the center of the political, social and economic agenda, as evidenced also by the new law of budget”.

“The 2026 – Santanchè emphasizes – is expected full of challenges, starting from the Olympics in Milan Cortina, which represent an opportunity for the present and the future, together with the challenge linked to undertourism, dedicated to those Italian territories still unfamiliar, but with a huge potential for the development and growth of communities, especially for the new generations. We will discuss this together in Milan on 23 and 24 January at the third international tourism forum. Thanks to all for a 2025 rich in satisfactions and wishes for a 2026 in which tourism will continue to be the protagonist of the growth of the nation”, concludes the Minister of Tourism, Daniela Santanchè.
