Santanchè “That of campers is a tourism of the highest order.”

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The enhancement of outdoor tourism as a common goal of Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè and Lombardy Region Councillor for Tourism, Territorial Marketing and Fashion Barbara Mazzali.

A conference, sponsored by regional councilor Maira Cacucci, held today at the Lombardy Palace, was the right time to take stock of this issue and to discuss the strengths of the RV universe and to shed light on the ‘touring vacation’ mode that still suffers from the weight of cliché.

“People are wrong when they say that camper tourism is not quality tourism,” explained Minister Santanchè, “in reality it is high-level tourism, and those who travel by camper are, in fact, high-spending tourists who need services that are up to par. From northern Italy, the response to the ministerial call for proposals to receive resources aimed at the creation and redevelopment of equipped temporary parking areas for tourism purposes has been very high.”

“Campers,” Mazzali added, “in Lombardy prefer ‘inland’ territories, hidden places, villages that have never had a showcase. Our region hosts quality tourism, as well as those who choose outdoor vacations, of camping or glamping.”
