CAGLIARI (ITALPRESS) – Sardinia Region President Alessandra Todde has been declared disqualified by the regional electoral guarantee board. Todde lapses from her position as regional councilor and consequently also from her position as governor. According to reports in the online edition of L’Unione Sarda, inconsistencies in the reporting of campaign expenses were found by the college, which led to the issuance of an injunction to the regional council, which will now have to rule on the forfeiture by setting a date for the decision.
“The appellate court’s notification is an administrative act that I will challenge in the appropriate venues. I have full confidence in the judiciary and since it is not a final measure I will calmly continue to do my job in the interest of the Sardinian people,” Alessandra Todde declares.
