Scandal corruption in Ukraine, Zelensky fires his chief of cabinet. Umerov appointed Head of Delegation for the peace negotiations

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky removed his chief of cabinet and main negotiator, Andriy Yermak. The decision was taken after the investigators broke into his home in a wide investigation of corruption. The removal of Yermak, 54 years old, is a hard hit for Zelensky, who faces a growing Russian offensive to the east, just as the United States promotes a plan to end the war. The chief of cabinet should have negotiated on behalf of Ukraine during peace talks in the United States this weekend, but that plan has jumped, according to what is known by Ukrainian sources themselves.

President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Rustem Umerov as head of the Ukrainian delegation for peace negotiations, replacing Andriy Yermak. It is what makes the Ukrainian media known. Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Umerov has previously served as Minister of Defense of the Government of Kiev.
