Schlein “The government is divided and Italians can’t make ends meet”

GENOA (ITALPRESS) – “Unfortunately, the government is divided, it is seen daily in the bickering between Salvini and Tajani and in those divisions what they lose sight of are the needs of the country.” Pd Secretary Elly Schlein said this on the sidelines of a meeting in Genoa with unions and categories along with center-left mayoral candidate Silvia Salis.

In Italy “we have the most expensive bills in Europe. They weigh on companies, which are telling us about the difficulty of competing with all the other companies in European countries, and they weigh on Italian families,” Schlein added. “On this we continue to insist, to make an energy price that is not determined by the price of gas, which is the most expensive source right now. They have done this in other European countries, it is not clear why Giorgia Meloni does not want to make a dent on this for the extra profits that a few energy companies make at the expense of all the others.”

“These are days when we only discuss the divisions between Tajani, Salvini and Meloni,” “however, what escapes us right now is the dramatic condition of so many Italian families who cannot make ends meet,” Schlein concluded.
