Scholarship amounts increase, Bernini “Standing by students”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Minimum scholarship amounts and Isee and Ispe caps for accessing benefits related to the right to study will also increase for the 2025/2026 academic year.

This is provided for in decrees signed by the Minister of University and Research, Anna Maria Bernini. In detail, the amount of scholarships for off-campus students will be €7,072.10, those for commuter students €4,132.85, and for on-campus students the amount will be €2,850.26.

Students with lower financial means will be eligible for a scholarship further increased up to 8,133 euros, a new historical maximum ever implemented in Italy. In addition, the upper limits of the Isee and Ispe go up so as to further broaden the range of beneficiaries of right-to-study measures. The former was set at 27,948.60, an increase of 221.81 euros, and the latter at 60,757.87, corresponding to an increase of 482.21 euros.

“Right to study means guaranteeing all students, regardless of their economic ability, access to education,” emphasizes University and Research Minister Anna Maria Bernini. “Increasing the value of scholarships is a demonstration of the government’s willingness to stand by students and their families by concretely supporting them in their academic journey. The scholarship represents not only financial aid but the possibility to realize one’s talent and build one’s future,” Bernini concludes.
