Signal case, American Oversight’s complaint. Trump “Someone did wrong”

WASHINGTON (USA) (ITALPRESS) – The nonprofit organization American Oversight has filed a complaint to open a lawsuit against the Trump administration’s security team. According to reports by broadcaster CNN, the complaint was filed yesterday and centers on the security agencies’ record-keeping practices. The lawsuit is the first to bring the Signal chat case, in which a journalist was mistakenly listed, before a federal judge.

The case was assigned to Judge James Boasberg, who is already known to be at odds with the White House over his ban on a War Powers Act against alleged Venezuelan gang members.

LE PAROLE DI DONALD TRUMP

“There were no details, there was nothing in there that could compromise operations and there was no impact on the attack, which was very successful.” This was stated by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the inclusion of a journalist in the Signal chat where information on U.S. operations against Houthi targets in Yemen was shared.

The president, in a telephone interview on “The Vince Show,” reiterated that there was nothing that could have “compromised” the attack plans, adding, however, that “someone may have made a mistake.” Trump called the incident “a technical error rather than a breach” of classified information. “Someone in my group either made a mistake or the signal is bad,” the White House chief said, mocking the name of the App used. “I think we’ll get to the bottom of this very quickly. And, really, it’s not a big deal,” Trump concluded. Earlier, TV station CNN had reported statements by a U.S. official that the information disclosed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in the Signal chat was “highly classified” at the time it was written, especially since the operation had not yet begun.
