Snam, investments of 12.4 billion in the Strategic Plan 2025-2029

SAN DONATO MILANESE (ITALPRESS) – Snam’s Board of Directors, chaired by Monica de Virgiliis, has approved the company’s Strategic Plan 2025-2029. Snam’s Strategic Plan 2025-2029 envisages total investments (2025-2029) FOR €12.4 billion (€13.4 billion gross of public funding), divided into €10.9 billion for the upgrading of transportation, storage and LNG infrastructure and €1.5 billion for the development of energy transition businesses. 41% of net investments aligned with the European Taxonomy and 58% with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Key financial targets to 2029: Regulatory Asset Base (RAB): average annual growth of 6.4% Adjusted EBITDA: average annual growth of 5% due to new investments, regulatory changes, and contribution from energy transition businesses. Adjusted Net Income up an average annual growth of 4.5% (4% in the previous plan), supported by improved performance, including that of investee companies. Dividend policy: dividend increasing annually by 4% (up from 3% minimum in previous plan) with a maximum payout ratio of 80%. Sustainable finance: 90% of total funding to 2029 Strategic levers. Transformative innovation with €400 million invested in proven and exploratory innovation to increase asset efficiency and flexibility while enabling multi-molecule management. All-round sustainability with ambitious targets: 40 percent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions, 30 percent reduction for Scope 3 by 2030, Net Zero for all emissions by 2050, net positive impact on biodiversity in 2027 The Plan calls for 27 billion euros of investment over the next 10 years to promote system security and flexibility, support the energy transition, develop the SoutH2 Corridor, and boost the Ravenna CCS project. “We are at a crucial time for the energy sector, where growing uncertainties and price volatility require resilient systems that can withstand geopolitical shocks while enabling the transition to Net Zero in a sustainable way for all,” said Stefano Venier, CEO of Snam. “We will invest 12.4 billion euros for a pan-European infrastructure capable of handling traditional and decarbonized molecules such as natural gas, biomethane, hydrogen and CO?, ensuring security and sustainability while meeting evolving energy demand.
