LONDON (UNITED KINGDOM) (ITALPRESS) – Snam was recognized “Sustainable Finance Issuer of the Year” during the IFR Awards ceremony, an award dedicated to excellence in finance by IFR – International Financial Review, a leading international publication specializing in capital markets.
The Group was recognized for its achievements in 2024, including offering Green and Sustainability-linked bond loans linked to ambitious sustainability targets, and the 4 billion Sustainability-linked credit facility, the most significant in the utilities sector that includes a KPI linked to Scope 3 emissions reduction, as well as in consideration of the diversification path undertaken with respect to markets and instruments, including the recent sterling issue. In addition, as mentioned, the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability was also recognized by Moody’s with the Net-Zero Assessment released in 2024.
“We are extremely proud to receive this award, which is an important recognition of our commitment to sustainable finance and the key role it plays in achieving the ambitious sustainability goals we have set for ourselves,” said Luca Passa, Snam’s Chief Financial Officer, who accepted the award last night at the ceremony held in London.
“The recognition is the result of a clear vision, which sees innovation and sustainability as two strategic levers of growth for Snam and all its stakeholders,” he added. Snam has already achieved about 85 percent sustainable finance as a percentage of total funding, starting with 40 percent in 2020, with a goal of reaching 90 percent by 2029.
