Spano resigns as Mic chief of staff, Giuli “Great regret”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Francesco Spano has resigned as chief of staff of the Ministry of Culture. “Dear Mr. Minister, With painful reflection I am determined to resign from the role of Chief of the Cabinet of Culture with which you wished to honor me,” Spano wrote in a letter to Minister Giuli. “The context that has come about, not without unpleasant personal attacks, no longer allows me to maintain the serenity of thought that is necessary to carry out this very important role. In the exclusive interest of the Administration, therefore, I consider it my duty to take a step back. This does not, of course, prevent me from expressing my deep gratitude for the esteem and support you have shown me without hesitation. “With great regret, after having repeatedly rejected them, I receive and accept the resignation of the Chief of Staff, Francesco Spano. To him goes my convinced solidarity for the barbaric climate of monstrosity to which he is being subjected in these hours. Last but not least, I reiterate to Francesco Spano my complete esteem and gratitude for the distinguished technical professionalism and human quality demonstrated in various contexts, including the Ministry of Culture,” comments Culture Minister Alessandro Giuli.
