TORINO (ITALPRESS) – Departure sprint in 2026 for Stellantis in Italy. In January, the Group grew up in Italy almost twice as much as the entire national market: is what emerges from the results of last month’s registrations processed by Dataforce. In the ranking of the most sold cars, the top four positions are all Stellantis: Fiat Pandina (13,394), second Jeep Avenger (5,133), third Citroèn C3 (3576) and fourth Fiat Grande Panda (3299).
With 46,452 recordings, the Brands that head to Stellantis (including Leapmotor) allowed a total growth of 11.8% compared to 6.18% of the entire national market that had 141,980 registrations. Stellantis’ share was 32.6%, up 1.6% compared to the same month last year.
The Stellantis Group and the FIAT brand, therefore, remain firmly in the first place of the Italian car sales ranking thanks to the excellent performance of the Fiat Pandina (total PC market of 8.6%%), followed in second position, among the most sold cars, from Jeep Avenger (total PC market of 3.3%%), which continues to have the primacy of the SUV most sold in Italy.
In third place there is the Citroen C3 which is the most sold car of its segment, while in the fourth place is the Fiat Grande Panda that in the next month will expand its range with the version with turbo engine from 1.2L to gasoline combined with a manual change to 6 marches.
In addition to FIAT, which in the private channel has recorded a quota of 15.8%, the best of the absolute market, to highlight also the registrations of Jeep, Citroen, Lancia and Opel respectively in increase of 4.9%, 3.1%, 15.7% and 12.4%. Well Alfa Romeo with the Junior who climbed to 4.3% of share in its segment (up by 0.7%). Peugeot, with 7.956 registrations, climbs a position, from fifth to fourth place, in the absolute ranking of Brands thanks to 3008 and 208.
Leapmotor consolidates its rise in the Italian market for electric mobility. In January the brand reached 1,18 registrations, obtaining 0.8% of the total market and 1.3% of the private market. A performance that marks an increase of 594% compared to the same month of 2025, placing Leapmotor as the brand with the fastest growth of the entire competitive landscape. The most obvious progress comes from the electric car market: in January Leapmotor conquered the podium in the private channel with 16.3% share, confirming also the second position in the overall BEV market with 11.23%. Towing growth is the T03, which confirms the most sold electric car in Italy.
In the commercial vehicle market, Fiat Professional was the brand of Stellantis who achieved the best performance in Italy in January with more than 3.544 registrations equal to 25.1% market share, up 3.1 percentage points compared to last year. Among the models, the first two positions occupy two vehicles of Fiat Professional, Doblò and Ducato, respectively with 1.407 and 1.175 registrations, which are the reference points respectively in the compact and large segment.
