Stellantis, President Elkann and Cardinal Repole visit Mirafiori

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – Stellantis President John Elkann today accompanied Cardinal Archbishop of Turin Roberto Repole on a tour of the Mirafiori industrial complex, which focused on four areas in particular: the assembly lines for the electric Fiat 500, the electrified transmission plant (eDCT), the Battery Technology Center and the new offices of the Hub for Enlarged Europe. Also present were Stellantis Enlarged Europe Manager Jean-Philippe Imparato and a number of Stellantis Italy managers, including Antonella Bruno (Stellantis Italy Manager) and Giuseppe Manca (Human Resources Manager). The Cardinal was accompanied by Alessandro Svaluto Ferro, Director of the Social and Labor Pastoral Office of the Diocese of Turin.

Le parole di Elkann e del Cardinale Repole

“We are happy to welcome Cardinal Repole to Mirafiori today, and we thank him for his attention to an industrial complex so central to Stellantis’ development plans. His presence strengthens our bond with the Turin community, whose daily commitment contributes to building the future of the Italian car,” commented Chairman John Elkann.

Cardinal Repole said, “I visited the Mirafiori plants, which are so important for Turin, with the desire to encourage all actions that can be taken in the perspective of their revitalization, after years of crisis and hiccup work. I believe that today our city, without giving up asking questions and expressing concern in these uncertain times, should confidently support the efforts of Stellantis, which is committed to not abandoning Turin and developing Mirafiori. I have always encouraged Stellantis to go down this path by seeking maximum cooperation and willingness for verification with the various social actors. Today I add that I greatly appreciate the effort to restart the revitalization: I have seen that the factory is gearing up, I have met workers and managers who all seem to me to be working for this goal. There are thousands of families behind it: in the end, what really matters is their lives and their future. I have confidence that what is being done at Mirafiori, even in defiance of the difficulties that come from international markets, keeps the good of people and our city at the center.”
