Suzuki plants over 60 trees in front of Taurus youth facility

TURIN (ITALPRESS) – “Suzuki is grateful to the city administration and Torino Calcio for giving us the opportunity to be useful in some way. We have decided, together with Toro, to enrich the park in the area, which will feature the team’s youth teams, with a small forest of more than 60 native trees including maples, holm oaks and beech trees, allowing Suzuki to contribute and give something back to the many customers in Turin.” Thus the president and ceo of Suzuki Italia, Massimo Nalli, during the event of planting the young trees in the area in front of the Robaldo sports facility in Turin, home to the training sessions of the granata team’s youth sector, which is now being redeveloped. The first 30 specimens were planted in the last few hours, in the coming weeks their number will grow to 68. Today’s event was also attended by Toro players Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Gvidas Gineitis, while for the City of Turin there was the Councillor for Sports, Mimmo Carretta. The Piedmontese capital has always been home to the headquarters of Suzuki Italia and is twinned with Nagoya, the metropolis closest to the headquarters in Hamamatsu, Japan. In total, Suzuki, through this latest project, has planted 234 tall trees throughout the city in Turin’s parks and green areas. A project that Suzuki carries on throughout Italy. “Thanks to all our dealers we have surpassed 1100 trees,” adds Nalli, “They won’t be enough to save the planet, but if everyone gave their contribution we could make a difference.
