ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Thanks to the final reached in Buenos Aires, Luciano Darderi improves his best ranking and climbs to position number 21. He is the fourth Italian on Atp rankings, behind Jannik Sinner (2), Lorenzo Musetti (5) and Flavio Cobolli (20). Italy is the only nation to boast so many players among the top 21 in the world.
If you look at the Top 25, only the U.S. in addition to Italy have four players, but in this group are Learner Tien and Tommy Paul, third and fourth American in the Atp ranking, respectively number 23 and 24 of the world. So with a ranking worse than number 4 of Italy.
Carlos Alcaraz is always on the top. The Spanish reached 59 weeks from number 1 in the world, one more than Jim Courier: it is today the thirteenth player with more weeks at the top of the career ranking. In the best case, at the end of the week Jannik Sinner, second of the ranking and engaged in Doha, could shorten the distance on the rival to 2.250 points; in the worst find himself with a detachment greater than 3.200.
As for the variations in the classification that do not concern the Italians, the only movement involves the Australian Alex De Minaur, champion in Rotterdam, who equals the best ranking at position number 6 (+2).
