BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – The State Police of Bologna denounced thirteen people following the clashes occurred on 11 March 2026 at the Plesso Belmeloro of the Bolognese University. The inquiries, largely attributable to the Autonomous University Collective (CUA), are accused in various respects of private violence, attacks and injuries. The episode originated during an event on the constitutional referendum organized by the University Action movement.
According to the reconstructions of the Digos, the collective CUA organized a counter-initiative to prevent the conduct of the debate, defining the organizing group as “fascist”. Due to the tension and some lack of communication with the governance of the University, University Action has renounced the event. Despite the cancellation, around 19, some students remained in the plexus to attend the debate were forced away. One of them was struck by a fist to the face, bringing healing injuries in 15 days.
The investigations have allowed the students to identify those responsible for the violent removal of the students. Among the thirteen reported figures is a man already known to law enforcement for his militancy in groups of the extra-parliamentary left, indicated as the alleged material author of physical aggression.
