VENICE (ITALPRESS) – In Venice, police officers, at the conclusion of investigations coordinated by the Prosecutor, performed a stop against two inquiries, of British nationality, held responsible for attempted murder. The investigations, conducted by the Mobile Team of the Questura of Venice, have allowed to collect serious evidence against the two foreigners, of 19 and 21 years, suspected of being, respectively, material performer and accomplice of the attempted murder of a young twenty-year-old, matured in the environments of the Venetian movida and committed, with a cutting weapon, the night of February 14 in a local of the historical center, a few hundred meters from the bridge of Rialto. The motive would lead to juvenile puzzles for futile reasons.
The investigations have highlighted the reasons for the temporary presence in Italy of the 2 stops – ascribable to a holiday period – which, arrived in Venice at the end of January, would return to England, in the coming days, with a scheduled flight already booked. One of the two young people, however, has emerged to be habitual frequenter of the lagoon capital. The two inquiries were located, by the investigators of the mobile team, with the support of the Commissioner San Marco, inside an apartment in the historic center of Venice, owned by an Italian woman, currently in Spain, linked by kinship constraints to one of the stops. In the apartment was also found the husband of the woman, of American nationality, arrived in Venice a few days before the two young Londoners.
The investigations were corrupted by a profitable information exchange between the Mobile Team and the Security Expert in London, insured by the International Police Cooperation Service of the Department of Public Security. The recipients of the precautionary measure have been made available to the competent judicial authority and their detention has been informed of the diplomatic representation of the United Kingdom. At the end of the validation hearing, the measure of precautionary custody in prison was applied. The activities continue for the search of the murder weapon, in the waters of the Grand Canal, carried out by the Nucleus divers of the State Police.
