The 25th edition of the International Award Dedicated to the Riace Bronzes comes to New York to celebrate Italian excellence worldwide

The prestigious International Award Dedicated to the Riace Bronzes is expanding beyond Italy’s borders with a special event in the United States. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 17, at the Community Center, 8711 18th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11214. Guests will be welcomed starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by the official awards ceremony at 6 p.m., honoring individuals who help promote Italian culture, institutions, and talent internationally.

Leading this international initiative is its creator and founder, Giuseppe Tripodi, President of the International Award and holder of the honorary title of Ambassador of the Riace Bronzes to the World. For more than a quarter of a century, Tripodi has passionately and consistently championed an event established to highlight the enduring connection between the heritage of Magna Graecia and the achievements of Italian excellence around the globe.

The distinguished honorees at the American event include leading figures from the diplomatic and cultural spheres. Among those attending, Italy’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York, Giorgio Marrapodi, and the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of New York, Claudio Pagliara, will welcome guests, underscoring the event’s institutional significance and the commitment to strengthening ties between Italy and the United States.

The New York ceremony further affirms the award’s mission: to bring people together and amplify stories of vision, civic engagement, and professional excellence that bring distinction to Italy around the world.
