ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Council of Ministers approved the legislative decree for the reorganization of the IRCCS yesterday. The reorganization aims to create and develop research networks of excellence, also open to national and international collaborations, strengthen clinical research with new dedicated professionals and increase transparency and control over research activities.
“It is a fundamental step for stronger health research in Italy, increasingly integrated with assistance and training and public health service – says Maria Rosaria Campitiello Head of Department of Prevention and Research of the Ministry of Health –. With this measure, strongly wanted by Minister Schillaci whom I thank, we strengthen the governance of the IRCCS and value the scientific and managerial skills, focusing on quality and merit. It is a concrete step towards a more innovative health, able to face the challenges of the future by always focusing on the health of citizens”.
