ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The new Mazda CX-6e, presented today at the Brussels Auto Show, embodies Mazda’s vision for electric mobility, combining style, performance and cutting-edge technologies. Powered by a 78 kWh battery, this medium-sized SUV delivers 190 kW (258 hp) and 290 Nm of instant torque to the rear wheels. With a WLTP range of up to 484 km and fast charging in continuous current, the New CX-6e offers both the certainty of autonomy for long distances and practicality for everyday use.
Featuring a 26-inch touchscreen, multilingual voice commands and sophisticated security features, the New Mazda CX-6e provides a smooth, secure and engaging driving experience, affirming itself as a bold step forward towards Mazda’s future. Developed with global collaboration, the New CX-6e offers Mazda’s unmistakable Jinba Ittai driving experience with 100% electric drive safety. The 78 kWh lithium-ferro-phosphate (LFP) battery feeds a rear electric motor that develops 190 kW (258 CV) and 290 Nm of torque immediately available, ensuring responsive control and linear acceleration.
With traction on the rear axle and monoreport transmission, it accelerates from stops to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 185 km/h, with a WLTP range up to 484 km2. A maximum current charging power of 195 kW results in a charging time from 10 to 80% of only 24 minutes. The onboard charger supports three-phase alternating current charging up to 11 kW via Type 2 connector, ideal for home charging with wallbox and public AC columns.
The New Mazda CX-6e offers a balanced ecosystem of technologies and comfort functions. At the centre of the cabin, the customizable 26-inch touchscreen allows passengers to consult a wide range of information, preserving the driver’s concentration. To complete the system, a large head-up display overlaps the navigation indications to the street view, while the gesture control allows you to manage paths and multimedia content in an intuitive and immediate way.
Available in nine languages, voice commands naturally interpret daily actions, from temperature regulation to window opening, to search for the next destination. In addition to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the New CX-6e has a dedicated App, with many remote control features, including Bluetooth key sharing and battery charge management.
With the New CX-6e, Mazda redefines the safety standard, combining advanced technology and innovation designed to protect both the driver and passengers. All versions are equipped with nine airbags and an integrated system of high-definition cameras, millimeter wave radars and ultrasound sensors, which improve visibility and awareness in every situation. A complete range of driving assistance systems – including Smart Brake Support, Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring – ensures protection and peace of mind on every trip. Thanks to these features, the Mazda CX-6e offers uncompromising safety and reliability for driving and travelling on board.
The New Mazda CX-6e brings the Kodo – Soul of Motion language into the future of electric mobility, embodying the concept of “Soulful Futuristic Modern”, where cutting-edge technology and sculptural elegance blend into a unique visual and sensory experience. The European team has played a more influential role than ever, contributing to the design of interiors, exteriors, colors and finishes with continuous review and exchange sessions, for a result of refinement and personality.
The front of the CX-6e stands out for the unmistakable Mazda wing-shaped signature, whose sequential lighting during opening, closing and charging creates an amazing three-dimensional effect. The design is complemented by the elegant digital shark fin mirrors and air vents integrated in the D-mountains, elements that allow the CX-6e to slide into the air with silent lightness and extreme efficiency.
The sculpted sides, the pronounced wheelbases and the thin rear optic groups complete a harmonious and dynamic design, giving the car a powerful and sophisticated presence even from a stop. The New CX-6e is not just a car: It is a work that comes to life, where every curve and every detail move together in an unstoppable elegance, expressing true “art in movement”. With a step of 2,902 mm and reduced shocks, the Mazda CX-6e combines harmonious proportions with surprising load capacity: the trunk offers 468 liters, which become 1.434 liters by lowering the second row of seats, without compromising style.
For the body shop is available a range of seven colors that animate the sculpted and flowing surfaces of the Mazda CX-6e, including the emblematic Nightfall Violet color, a deep and brilliant shade that depending on the light turns from a bright purple to almost black shades.
The elegant profile of the CX-6e conceals a spacious and intelligently configured cabin. Inspired by the Japanese concept of Ma, the beauty of empty space, offers all occupants ample space for head, legs and shoulders.
The interiors are available in three distinct color variations: Maztex3 Warm Beige or Black for Takumi, or Maztex bicolor Amethyst and White for the Takumi Plus. In addition to the new CX-6e, Mazda also presented the New CX-5, which combines the renewed Kodo style with a refined driving dynamic. The new CX-5 will also be available in a new body color: Navy Blue. Developed thanks to the collaboration of design teams and inspired by the indigo blue experiments of the Mazda European Research and Development Centre, this shade represents a vibrant addition to the range of external colors. The New CX-5 will arrive in Italy from March 2026.
