ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The new Nissan Micra today made its debut on the Italian roads. With the sixth generation in 100% electric version, there are the strengths of Nissan Micra: iconic design, driving pleasure, advanced technology. To present the new Micra at the event held at the Eur, ‘New Micra Play with the city’, Marco Toro, president and managing director Nissan Italy and Marco Puricelli, head of communications Nissan Italy. “Micra is history for us.” He said the president and AD Toro.
“A success story”, characterized, added, from the presence of “more than forty years on the market, 6 million Micra sold in the world and in Italy 600 thousand customers who bought it and known it”.
The characteristics of this sixth generation, said Toro, in the margin of the event: “They are inspired by the success of the five previous ones: design and technology oriented to the pleasure of driving and adapted to the needs of 100% electric.” The new Micra was designed at the Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in London with a design with a strong and elegant character: simple lines, clean surfaces, refined finishes and details, pronounced wheelbase and the low centerpiece give the SUV look. The car comes with the 18-inch wheels, available in three different options depending on the set: “Active”, alloy rims “Iconic” and “Sport”.
The headlights are slightly protruding from the front surface of the car, flashing at every door opening, while the LED rear lights are made up of bright elements that recall the circular shape of the front ones. The belt line, moreover, is defined by a wide recess about a centimeter that runs from the end of the front lighthouse to the whole back door.
The car was made of six exterior colours – Glacier White, Elegant Silver, Black Star, Noble Marine, Authentic Blue and Rebel Red, which together with the black roof option allow 11 combinations. The interior is characterized by a simple and elegant design, with perfectly integrated and easily accessible technologies. All the basic information about the car and the guide is shown on the 10.1 inch high resolution configurable tools.
An additional 10.1 inch touchscreen display is located at the centre of the bridge and slightly oriented towards the driver. In addition, along with the soft finishes of the cabin, the seat covers change according to the installation and the ambient lighting is available in 48 different colours. With Nissan More the guarantee of MICRA extends up to the tenth year of life of the car or up to the limit of 200,000 km of travel. Through this free warranty program that activates and renews itself to every maintenance coupon performed at the Nissan network (insurance program subject to exclusions) – Micra is the only electric car in segment B that has up to 10 years warranty on the engine.

Front suspensions with independent mountings with passive shock absorbers and multilink rear suspensions, typical configuration of the upper segment vehicles, together with the immediately available torque and reactive steering. These are some of the features of MICRA.
The driver can customize the car’s behaviour according to his own driving style, choosing one of the three modes of driving “comfort”, “sport” and “eco”. But there is also a fourth available mode: “lost”, which allows the driver to configure each individual parameter according to their preferences. Built on the AmpR platform, the new Micra is 4 meters long, 1.8 meters wide, with a 2.54 meters pitch and reduced swings. You can count on a load space at the top of the category, with the trunk of 326 liters extensible up to 1,106 liters, thanks to the lowerable rear seats in 40/60 mode – and the possibility to pull up to 500 kg. The new Micra, available with battery from 40 to 52 kWh, is designed for a thoughtless electric drive with autonomy up to 416 km with a single charge.
In the event that the destination set on the navigator requires a journey greater than the available autonomy, the Micra Intelligent Route Planner system offers charging stations along the route, taking into account the residual autonomy, the average consumption and pre-conditions the battery to optimize the charging speed.
With the 100 kWh Continuous current charger for the 52 kWh battery (80 kW for the 40 kWh battery) the battery level ranges from 15% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Both batteries are equipped with a heat pump and a heating and cooling function, to increase charging efficiency. The new Micra is also equipped with the V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, which allows to use the battery to power external devices, such as speakers, fans or vacuum cleaners, and is prepared for the V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) to exchange energy with the power grid.
The new Micra has an integrated Google suite and includes Google Maps – Google Assistant and Google Play. Using the NissanConnect Services app on the smartphone, you can remotely check the battery charging status, the car location, the refill history, manage the cabin temperature and the charging program.
Like the whole Nissan range, the new Micra also has a rich range of safety technologies, including the ProPilot Assist, which includes assistance to the maintenance of the lane, the adaptive cruise control and emergency braking. Other available safety systems are automatic emergency braking, involuntary lane abandonment warning system, driver monitoring system, blind angle warning and intervention system, automatic rear emergency braking, moving object alert system in the rear area, safe passenger exit alert system.
By tax year 2026, the new Leaf, Juke in an electric version – is also expected to arrive on the market – alongside the hybrid petrol versions – and an electric model of segment A. The new Nissan MICRA is for sale at Italian dealers with prices starting from 24.990 euros (with Nissan incentives up to 4.510 euros).
