MILAN (ITALPRESS) – After being awarded a month ago in the USA as the most innovative technology in the tyre industry (Autotech Breakthrough Awards), Pirelli Cyber Tyre received three other prestigious international awards. The first in France, at the eighth edition of the Automobile Awards, in the category “Security”.
The second by Autobest, independent jury of the automotive sector representing 32 European countries. The third from the US market analysis company Frost & Sullivan who has appointed Pirelli “Company of the year” for the innovative reach of Cyber Tyre, technology that “engages how digital systems are able to redefine also the traditional components of the automotive”, reads in the motivations.
The French jury of the Automobile Awards, made up of 20 automotive experts, awarded Pirelli for the ability to increase vehicle safety through the innovation expressed by Cyberρ Tyre technology. The Automobile Awards celebrate industry excellence every year, in line with the main market trends.
Among the most important awards is the Security Award, awarded this year to Pirelli Cyber Tyre, a technology that anticipates risks and makes driving safer and smarter: thanks to the sensors integrated in the tyres, connected to the control unit of the car, the system transmits in real time data from the road, and allows the control systems to intervene promptly, for example by braking in advance or reducing the braking spaces.
The information collected by the sensorized tyres, thanks to the connectivity V2X and the Pirelli algorithms that process them in real time, also allow to communicate to the managers of the infrastructure the state of the roads and, in the perspective of the Smart Road, any danger to the other connected cars, as well as information useful to the management of the mobility.
Autobest, founded in 2000, awards every year to companies, technologies and personalities who guide the evolution of mobility. Among the most prestigious categories is the title “SafetyBest”, given in this year’s edition at Pirelli “for the pioneering development of Cyber Tyre technology, innovation of exceptional importance for automotive safety”.
The award celebrates the solutions that raise road safety standards, based on extensive testing and analysis conducted by the jury, alongside other categories of Autobest, including the annual election of Best Buy Car, but also CompanyBest, EcoBest and DesignBest.
The recognition of Frost & Sullivan “Company of the Year 2025” is awarded to companies that anticipate trends, bring innovative solutions to the market and generate concrete value.
This award, assigned in the field “Global Smart Automotive Tire Market”, points out the role of Pirelli as a leader in innovation and guide of change that the market is going through, thanks to the development of cutting-edge technologies among which stands Cyber-tire, intelligent system that integrates data from tires in vehicle control systems, towards other connected ecosystems and towards infrastructure.
