ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Regional Council of Lazio today approved the Triennale Plan of Tourism 2025-2027, the strategic document that traces the guidelines for the development, promotion and innovation of the regional tourist sector for the next three years.
“The approval of the Plan marks a fundamental step towards the economy of the territory, defining investments and objectives aimed at consolidating the position of Lazio as an international destination”, reads in a note.
“The approval of this Plan is a signal of great compactness and vision by the Regional Council,” said President Antonello Aurigemma, who added: “We are not talking about a simple programmatic document, but a real roadmap to make Lazio a modern region, accessible and able to value the immense heritage it owns. Tourism is one of the main engines of our GDP and our task is to provide operators and territories with the tools necessary to compete on global markets.”.
Among the key points of Plan 2025-2027 are the seasonalization of flows, the digitization of supply and the promotion of sustainable and quality tourism.
“Our goal is clear: we want tourists not to stop only in Rome, but discover the wonder of our villages, coasts, mountain areas and food and wine routes in our provinces. The Jubilee 2025 will be an extraordinary catalyst, but our strategy looks beyond, pointing to a structured tourist system that generates wealth and stable employment throughout the three years,” continued Aurigemma.
President Aurigemma then stressed the importance of synergy between public and private: “This Plan is the fruit of listening to localities and category associations. We will invest in vocational training, improving reception infrastructure and targeted marketing campaigns. We want a Lazio that can welcome, excite and innovate, placing the person and the traveler always at the center of the project”.
“I thank the competent Councillor and the fellow advisers for the work done in the committees and in the classroom,” the President concluded. “Today Lazio is endowed with a long-term vision that will give certainties to a vital sector and will make our Region even more attractive and competitive in the world.”.
