WASHINGTON (ITALPRESS) – The Supreme Court rejected Trump’s plan to deploy the troops of the National Guard in Illinois, and in particular in Chicago, despite objections from local authorities. The U.S. media report it.
The Court dismissed, at least provisionally, the position of the American administration according to which the situation on the field would be so chaotic to justify the invocation of a federal law that allows the president to call the troops of the National Guard to federal service in extreme situations. The decision is likely to have a cascade effect, questioning the American president’s strategy to employ federal troops in other cities.
