The teams of the four Athens of Emilia-Romagna protagonists in international competitions

BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – From the electric and hybrid single-seaters in which software and artificial intelligence decide when to brake, accelerate or make overtakings, racing motorcycles, rovers for planetary exploration, up to rockets and electric boats. Some of the projects have brought hundreds of students and students from the four Universities of Emilia-Romagna to measure themselves with technological challenges and international competitions. The protagonists were received today in Bologna in the Region by the president, Michele de Pascale, and the vice-president with delegation to Economic Development, Vincenzo Colla, together with the directors of the University of Bologna, Modena and Reggio Emilia, Ferrara and Parma, to the teachers and representatives of the university teams. The event, dedicated to the valorisation of young talents, was also an occasion to celebrate the results of the competitive season, which saw the teams on the podium in important international competitions. At the University of Athens, promoters of the 12 projects, a sign of recognition of the research and study commitment to which about 900 students and students participated altogether.

The initiative, funded by the Region with 400 thousand euros under Regional Law 2/2023 for the attraction and enhancement of talents, is an investment that puts together universities, research and enterprises and allows students to transform the knowledge acquired in courses of study into concrete prototypes, experimenting on the field new technologies and working in team. “These boys and girls demonstrate every day that innovation stems from the ability to combine knowledge, creativity and the desire to test itself – says President de Pascale-.
