BERGAMO (ITALPRESS) – This week the University of Bergamo has been visiting a delegation of Wolaita Sodo University (Ethiopia), with which the Orthodox University has been collaborating for over 20 years through exchanges and visits by teachers and students. Over time, UniBg students of International Management and Cooperation courses had the opportunity to visit Wolaita Sodo University and the Wolaita region, getting in touch with different business realities and the entrepreneurial spirit of local young people.
The visit of the Rector of WSU, Guchie Gulie Sulla, and the Dean of the College of Business and Economics, Abaineh Degaga Anato, took place on Friday, January 30 on the occasion of a course dedicated to the planning and financing opportunities Horizon Europe, made possible by UniBg’s participation in the Transnational Education Unitafrica project. The meeting with UniBg’s Research and Enhancement Area represented a moment of sharing and mutual enrichment, laying the foundations for new joint initiatives between the two Universities, as also underlined by Rector Cavalieri during the discussion with the delegation. The collaboration is particularly important also in view of the second Italy-Africa Summit, which will be held in Ethiopia in February in conjunction with the African Union Summit.
