REGGIO EMILIA (ITALPRESS) – Great external blow of Turin, which marks its second consecutive victory. Marco Baroni’s men run the Mapei Stadium, running 1-0 Sassuolo in the match worthwhile for the sixteenth day of Serie A: he decides a penalty kick transformed by Nikola Vlasic. After just 7′ the hosts cut out a great chance with Cheddira who, from two steps, hits the cross: the action, though, is then cancelled out of the game. Race rhythms are not very high and the two teams prefer to maintain a rather cautious approach. At 22′ Calzavara awards a penalty kick to the grenade for a Doig foul on Adams. The director of the race, however, is recalled to the Var and after the revision revokes the penalty for a previous Tameze foul on Matic. Despite the rigour canceled, Torino still has the advantage at 30′ with a conclusion of Zapata that, on Pedersen cross, shoots high. In the first half final the game is split because of several failures, therefore, the two teams go to rest on the partial of 0-0. In the opening of the shoot, Sassuolo immediately builds a couple of good chances with two Volpato conclusions, but the first ends a little on the side and the second is easily blocked by Paleari. At 53′ the Turin devours a goal with Lazaro, but, in case of realization, it would have been canceled for an earlier fall of Adams.
Cheddira, in the shade for the whole race, shows up at 62′ with a shot that turns off from the mirror. The boys of Marco Baroni continue to push with more conviction than the opponents and at 66′ they conquer a penalty kick, following a late intervention of Doig against Simeone: Nikola Vlasic presents himself on the disk, which realizes the network of 1-0. After the replacement by Fabio Grosso, the hosts go close to 1-1 with a safe shot of Koné, which is walled by Maripan. In the final Muric performs two great parades on the same Chilean defender and on Ngonge, holding his own. The final effort of the blackouts, however, is not enough to avoid the fourth home season defeat: the grenade passes 1-0 at Mapei Stadium and hit the second consecutive success. Following this result the Turin jumps to 20 points and moves away from the hot zone of the ranking, approaching Sassuolo that remains at 21. The Emilians will return on Sunday, December 28th at 6 pm to face Bologna at Dall’Ara; the Piedmontese, on the other hand, will host Cagliari at the Olimpico Grande Torino Saturday, December 27 at 15.
