MILAN (ITALPRESS) – This morning Tourism Minister Daniela Santanchè met in Cremona with the business fabric and sector operators for a focus on new local challenges for the tourism ecosystem, confirming the attention of the government and the ministry for the territories. Starting with an analysis of the Infinity1 project for the implementation of the fairgrounds – an important inducement for tourism -, the minister recalled the resources committed by the ministry in favor of Lombardy and the province of Cremona – from resources related to FUNT to projects for small municipalities with a vocation for tourism – and highlighted the commitment on the subject of regulating short rentals, where, in the province of Cremona, there are more than 500 CINs issued, equivalent to more than 90% of the registered facilities.

“Tourism in Cremona has grown a lot, also thanks to the investments made with the fairs, but a lot can still be done, playing as a team and enhancing the resources of the area,” Minister Santanchè commented during the meeting. “Starting, for example, with the implementation of the fair pavilion, for which I am optimistic: you will see that we will succeed. But that’s not all: there are local resources that are still untapped, such as river tourism, which could create a real water-related brand, networking all the municipalities that overlook the rivers. In this sense,” the minister recalled, “the Ministry is already supporting a project with the call for small municipalities with a tourist vocation. And then we must seize the opportunities of major events, such as superbike-themed events, and again the challenge of artificial intelligence, which must be seized as an opportunity to serve man and not vice versa, also to consolidate the already excellent results of these segments. In short,” the minister concluded, “the resources are not lacking, the skills and optimism are not lacking either. We are Italy and together we will do great things, as we have already begun to do.”
