Tourism, Unicredit-Federalberghi agreement operational

PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – UniCredit and Federalberghi Sicilia signed a letter of intent today, jointly committing to work together to support the maximum dissemination of opportunities for Federalberghi Sicilia member businesses in the Hotel and Tourism sector, provided for in the national convention signed in recent weeks.

Signing the letter of intent were Salvatore Malandrino, Regional Manager Sicily of UniCredit, and Nico Torrisi, president of Federalberghi Sicilia. In detail, reads a note, UniCredit’s support responds to the specific needs of hotel businesses with a particular focus on financing for technological innovation, hotel upgrading and working capital support also through flexible forms of amortization that take into account the seasonality of receipts; ad hoc conditions for credit and debit card payments; a wide range of financial solutions designed to support investments with “green” purposes to stimulate and enhance the achievement of sustainability goals; and specialized advice and support in accessing the facilitating measures provided by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP).

“Tourism is a strategic sector for Sicily’s economy,” comments Salvatore Malandrino, UniCredit Regional Manager Sicily, “and we have always been committed to supporting businesses operating in the sector through dedicated support in terms of products and services and by leveraging a widespread presence in the area. The agreement signed with Federalberghi will strengthen mutual collaboration and enable businesses in the tourism sector to seize all opportunities for growth.”

“The agreement,” stresses Federalberghi Sicilia President Nico Torrisi, “is part of a well-established collaboration between the association that represents the interests of hotel companies and UniCredit and goes in the direction of providing further support to hospitality businesses that need to have quick access to credit and easy terms in order to grow. Alongside the financial issue, the agreement also goes in the direction of enabling hotel businesses to better orient themselves regarding those measures of interest to the sector provided for in the NRP.”
