TURIN (ITALPRESS) – On the occasion of the 41st Anci national assembly, Anci vice president and delegate for sports, health, youth policies and internal areas, Roberto Pella, met with Lega Pro general manager Paolo Bedin as part of the collaboration aimed at fostering new synergies between local administrations and the sports world. Lega Pro and Anci expressed their willingness to reach a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening the dialogue between municipalities and football clubs and sports associations in general, in order to support the growth of sports as a tool for local development. The agreement has several objectives for the consolidation of the role of sports as a fundamental vector for the enhancement of territories, their excellences and local identities. “I believe that this future agreement will provide an opportunity for municipalities and Lega Pro to start a season of strong collaboration that, due to the commitment and expertise of both parties can lead to the resolution of issues involving territories and soccer teams and the promotion and growth of sport and soccer in particular,” Pella said. Lega Pro President Matteo Marani, in a statement entrusted to Bedin, highlighted the importance of building a platform dedicated to structured dialogue between municipalities, football clubs and other stakeholders, a model already applied during the “City Club” initiative held last April in Pesaro in the presence of Pella. “The collaboration between our realities is strategic, thanks to the widespread representation of Anci, which encompasses almost all Italian municipalities, and the role of Lega Pro, which with its 60 member clubs is an expression of a soccer strongly rooted in the territories – Marani’s comment – This agreement aims to be a forerunner for greater integration between local authorities and the world of sports, so that sport can become a flywheel for sustainable growth and the welfare of local communities.”- photo Anci press office -(ITALPRESS)
