ROME (ITALPRESS) – The commitment of the Italian Triathlon Federation, with a view to the four-year Olympic period leading up to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, continues under the banner of teamwork between sectors under the coordination of sports director Simone Biava. “The High Level is only the tip of the iceberg of a functional, modern and efficient structure that involves the Paratriathlon, the Development Area, the Youth Sector, the Cts of Riccione and Turin, Multisport, the Study Center and the Scientific Area,” a Fitri note underlines. “It is precisely the work of connection between the various sectors by the Scientific Area that has sanctioned an important change of step, supporting the growth of athletes and technicians and giving impetus to dynamics and strategies that have allowed Italy’s triathlon to achieve important results. The leadership of the High Level will be entrusted to an ad hoc team that will have as technical director Matteo Torre, supported by swimming specialist Riccardo Wenter, High Level technicians Costanza Giannini and Manuel Canuto, and Alessandro Bottoni, responsible for logistics and national team devices. “For the Paratriathlon sector, Renzo Roiatti is reconfirmed in the role of technical director. Ips development and classifications manager will be Gianluca Cacciamano and national teams technical coordinator Antonio Serratore. National team technicians will be Fabrizio Tacchino, Charlotte Bonin, Matteo Marmentini and Giuseppe Laface. The coordination of the development area will be entrusted to Andrea Gabba – a central figure in the growth of the U23s, whose work, together with personal coaches, led to the debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games of Bianca Seregni and Alessio Crociani.The heads of the technical development centers (Cts) will be Massimo Strada, for the one in Riccione, and Manuel Canuto, for the one in Turin. Alberto Casadei is confirmed as technical director for the youth sector. The multisport sector will be coordinated by Stefano Davite, who will also be in charge of cross Triathlon. The Duathlon manager will still be Andrea Compagnoni and the Winter Triathlon manager Marco Behtaz. The long distance Triathlon manager will be Alberto Bucci assisted by Alessandro Degasperi. The study center manager at the Acqua Acetosa Olympic Training Center will be Alessandro Bottoni. As for the scientific area – whose coordination will be entrusted to Matteo Torre – Michele Zanini, Luca Zenti, Fabrizio Antonelli, Paolo Belluco, Fabrizio Tacchino, Simone Villanova and Riccardo Molinari will be part of it. “This new organization,” explains sport director Simone Biava, “guarantees continuity and innovation aiming to consolidate past successes and face future challenges with determination.
