BRESCIA (ITALPRESS) – The state police have performed nine stops in the provinces of Brescia, Milan, Bergamo, Lodi, Prato, Rieti and Vicenza, issued by the prosecutor of the Republic of Brescia. Italian, Albanian, Chinese and Nigerian citizens, investigated for the issue of invoices for non-existent operations, recycling and self-reclaiming.
There are also searches for numerous companies involved in the circuit of false billing and recycling. A tenth recipient of the measure is unavailable.
The investigations of the Mobile Team of Brescia – launched in March 2025 following a milionary scam against the Opera of Santa Maria del Fiore, Onlus that deals with the management of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery of San Giovanni di Firenze – would have unveiled an illegal business trip that, over about 6 months, would produce an illegal transfer of money estimated about 30 million euros.
