ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Arrested yesterday’s evening by the State Police, on board a train arriving at the railway port of Rome Termini, an Italian 43-year-old headed to Naples, after having extorted with precious violence and other goods against a couple of elderly people in Novara. From the investigations made by the Mobile Team of Novara, immediately contacted by the couple, it appeared that the victims had been approached by the man with the excuse of the false Carabiniere: thanks to the complicity of other people who in telephone contact had managed to intimidate the spouses, prospecting criminal and financial consequences as a result of the failure of money, the man had managed to enter the house. As soon as gold and jewels were delivered as well as a regularly held gun, the two spouses were suspicious and, in an attempt to recover their possessions, they were hit by the misguided who fled to the nearby station, where he boarded a train to Milan.
The investigators of the Mobile Team of Novara, thanks to the disanimation of the images of public and internal video surveillance systems at the station, managed to trace in a few minutes the identity of the man, reconstructing the movements from the moment of escape until the entrance to the station of Novara where the man quickly changed his clothes in an attempt to make his tracks lose. The Mobile Team of Novara immediately gave news to the Milan Railway Police, who managed, from the vision from the images, to reconstruct the entire path of the man inside the station of the Lombard capital where the same went down and then board another train, directed to Naples with a single intermediate stop scheduled in Rome Termini in the late afternoon. In the backpack that he had with him when he was stuck there was all the refurbishment, 24 gold jewelry, 380 euros in cash and a Beretta pistol complete with magazine and cartridges, as well as a tyrant and a dagger.
