WASHINGTON (UNITED STATES) (ITALPRESS) – President Donald Trump today celebrated Women’s History Month in the East Room of the White House, which historically takes place in March to honor the contributions of women in American history. “Today we pay tribute to the legacy of incredible women like Betsy Ross, Harriet Tubman, Susan B. Anthony, Clara Barton and Amelia Earhart, all legends,” Trump said. “Their extraordinary courage, patriotism and devotion helped propel our nation to glory and greatness.
During his remarks, Trump paid tribute to several female figures who have distinguished themselves most in his administration. “We are ending this war on women and we are protecting their rights by standing up for American moms and families,” Trump said. “There are so many representatives here in this room, great people who are doing great work. Today we were joined by many women who make up this room. Women have defended our flag and the American dream for all of our children, and they are helping us enter America’s golden age. We want to do things that no one thought were possible.”
President Trump also praised his chief of staff, Susie Wiles, a former Jacksonville political powerhouse. He then praised White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, Attorney General Pam Bondi and Education Secretary Linda McMahon. Members of the crowd shouted “we love you” after the president thanked women for electing him.
Great applause for statements that “there are only two genders and transgender people do not exist.” The Women’s History Month event precedes a press conference scheduled for 4 p.m. (local time) at which President Trump is expected to announce new tariffs on auto imports, according to White House reports.
