ROME (ITALPRESS) – U.S. duties on Mexico will be suspended for one month. This was announced by Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on X. “We had a fruitful conversation with President Trump, with great respect for our relationship and sovereignty. We reached a number of agreements: Mexico will immediately reinforce the northern border with 10,000 National Guard members to prevent drug trafficking from Mexico to the United States, particularly fentanyl; the United States is committed to working to prevent high-powered weapons trafficking into Mexico. Our teams will begin work today on two fronts: security and trade; Tariffs are suspended for one month from today.”
