This is reported today by the head of the White House to the US broadcaster NBC News. According to the accusations made by Trump and his legal team, the British public broadcaster tried to “interfer in the presidential elections” last year by changing one of his speeches.
“The BBC has defamed President Trump by deliberately and misleadingly altering his documentary in an attempt to interfere in the presidential elections,” said NBC News a spokesman for the president’s legal team. “Trump will continue to feel responsible for those who deal with lies, deceptions and fake news,” he continued.
A BBC spokesman said: “We will examine the letter and respond directly in due time.”.
