KIEV (UCRAINA) (ITALPRESS) – Russian forces entered the city of Pokrovsk, “complete weather conditions”, in particular the thick fog. It has been confirmed by the Ukrainian authorities, specifying that approximately 300 Moscow soldiers entered the city with motorcycles and light means. The goal of the Russians, according to the note issued by the Kiev Armed Forces, is to reach the northern part of the city and surround it.
The background of Russia would be to be seen as a retaliation after “the attempt to hijack” of a Mig-31, at least according to the Russian media. Moscow’s secret services (Fsb) would have discovered an operation planned by Kiev aimed at hijacking the Mig to carry out an attack on a NATO airbase. Such action could trigger Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty, according to which an armed attack against one of the Alliance member countries is considered an attack against all.
