Ukraine, Tajani “Optimistic, it’s Russia’s turn to speak out”

CHARLEVOIX (CANADA) (ITALPRESS) – A strong message of support for Ukraine, of appreciation for the work done in Saudi Arabia, thanks also to the U.S. delegation, will certainly come out of the G7 in Canada.” Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said this on the sidelines of the G7 ministerial in Canada.

“Ukraine’s choice to work for peace is also judged very positively by all. Now it is up to Russia to decide what to do. It cannot, and we condemn it very clearly, continue to bomb civilians, this is really unacceptable. Let’s see if it will respond positively to a reasonable proposal to finally get to the end of a war. We are optimistic from that point of view,” he added.

As for the situation in the Middle East, Tajani reiterated that “the solution is that of two peoples and two states, we hope that a positive situation can be reached there as well that will finally end the war.”
