KIEV (UCRAINA) (ITALPRESS) – “Putin started this war and is prolonging it to subtract people to decisions on the fate of countries. He wants to decide everything on his own. Personally or with his friends, just like him. The war of Russia against Ukraine has always been and is a war for something more than the Ukrainian territory itself. And that is why Russia will never settle for this or that piece of territory if someone gives them something.” Thus Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a meeting with media representatives along with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro.
“We must protect the fundamental principles of Europe and the normal life of nations: Independence, sovereignty and democracy. And all this must be reflected in the agreement on the end of the war. This is how we work with our partners, preparing the agreement: We work closely on each point, on each stage, to obtain not a ‘concept’ on the division of the territory and resources, but an agreement on a stable and lasting peace and reliable security guarantees. This is our goal and I am grateful to all those who contribute to it,” he added.
