LONDRA (United Kingdom) (ITALPRESS) – British authorities arrested Andrea Windsor-Mountbatten. The BBC reports it, adding that the prosecution is of office abuse.
According to the sources of the British public broadcaster, the former prince, who is now 66, was arrested early this morning by the police of Thames Valley and is currently in custody. The police are also searching for residences in Berkshire and Norfolk.
A police note from the Thames Valley states that “in the field of investigations, today we arrested a man on the 60th of Norfolk on charges of office abuse and are conducting searches at various addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk. Man remains at the moment in custody.” The police did not want to spread the name of the arbitration. “We will not make known the name of the arrested man, as provided by the national guidelines,” we read in the note.
Deputy Chief of Police Oliver Wright said: “As a result of a careful assessment, we started an investigation into this charge of office abuse. It is important to protect the integrity and objectivity of our investigation while working with our partners to shed light on this alleged crime. We understand the considerable public interest in this case and we will provide updates at the appropriate time.”.
