ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The forces of the Central Command of the United States (CENTCOM) have destroyed five Iranian tankers, after the Corps of the Guards of the Islamic Revolution (IRGC) had targeted a warship of the U.S. Navy with ballistic missiles on two occasions in the last two days. To make it known is the same Centcom, which explains: “The US warship managed to avoid Iranian attack attempts and continued patrol of the region’s waters. No member of the American staff was injured.”.
In detail, Centcom destroyed the oil tankers of the IRGC M/T Kaviz, M/T Charminar, M/T Horizon 1 and M/T I can in the Gulf of Oman, as well as the M/T Derya near the island of Kharg.
“The American forces ordered the crews to leave the ships before they were hit and made unavailable – the communiqué continues. Iran has used these oil tankers as part of a multi-million-dollar occult network that finances the IRC (the body of the guards of the Islamic revolution, ndr) and its affiliated groups in the region. Iran has no means to defend such boats.”.
On 5 September, CENTCOM forces had already destroyed three Iranian tankers after the IRC attempted to attack a carrier and a US missile destroyer. “All IRC attempts against U.S. Navy warships have failed,” says Centcom.

Jordanian air defense systems have intercepted 20 ballistic missiles launched by Iran and directed towards the Jordanian territory, 18 of which have been shot down and destroyed, while two have fallen into areas without inhabited centres.
