In the framework of the Budget Law 2026, UNRAE welcomes the inclusion, within the MIT forecasting state, of the extraordinary measure of 590 million euros for the period 2027-2031, destined for the scrapping of the most obsolete and polluting vehicles. The Association hopes that, in the grounding of resources, the intervention follows the guidelines of the “roadmap” for the decarbonization of the transport goods on rubber, already shared together with the other Associations of the automotive and the road haulage. In the meantime, after the recent publication of the Decree for the renewal of the heavy vehicular park, whose resources amount to 13 million euros for 2025, is now awaited the emanation of the actuative measure, which will allow enterprises to book the contributions. UNRAE asks that the additional allocation of 6 million provided for the year under the D.L. Infrastructures is also urgently operational, enabling the same incentive to avoid a separate and uneven management of the two funds. nfine, the Association expresses its appreciation for the recent decision of the EU Environment Council to postpone the entry into force of the emissions exchange system (ETS 2) for road transport, initially planned for 2027. This position, adopted in the context of the revision of the European Climate Act, should it be approved after the negotiations with the European Parliament, would give greater flexibility to an area already engaged in an ambitious transition to decarbonization.
