Urso meets Orsini: focus on industrial development and competitiveness

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, met at Mimit the president of Confindustria, Emanuele Orsini, and the general manager, Maurizio Tarquini, for a comparison on the main issues related to industrial development and the competitiveness of the Italian production system, also in the light of the current international context.

At the heart of the meeting, the simplification path initiated by the Government and Mimit in favour of enterprises, with the aim of reducing bureaucratic burdens and encouraging the relaunch of investments, starting from the next reform of development contracts, on which Urso and Orsini agreed to continue a deepening in the coming weeks. A specific focus was then devoted to the strategic sectors of the Italian industry, from the dossiers relating to the companies energetic to the fashion sector, with a view to strengthening competitiveness and accompanying the energy transition.

Urso and Orsini therefore focused on investment support policies and strategies to address the challenges of the digital and green transition of enterprises. In this regard, the new Transition 5.0 plan was launched and implemented, which will be able to count on the instrument of hyperamortization and will last three years until September 2028.

Particular attention was paid to the main European dossiers for the strengthening of the competitiveness of the production system, with reference also to the Industrial Accelerator Act, the theme at the center of the meeting planned today afternoon at Palazzo Piacentini among the main associations of enterprise, the Minister Urso and the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, Stéphane Séjourné.
