This was said by the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, speaking at the Quirinale at the ceremony of delivery of the Knights of the Order “Al Merito del Lavoro” to the Knights of Labour appointed on June 2, 2025. “In a decade we passed from the eighth place, as an exporting country – Urso added – to the fifth position last year, and we head to head with Japan, to conquer this year’s fourth position in global exports. After China, the United States, Germany, there is small Italy.” Minister Urso recalled that “it is also significant, the index of attractiveness of our country: Italy in these years has scaled many positions.”.
“More than ever, it is essential to pay the right reward for merit and inventiveness, engines of free enterprise initiative. It is equally important to highlight, how precious it is, the uniqueness of each success story and passion that today finds the right recognition. This session, in full evidence, shows some prospects for growth of the Italian production system – added Urso -, starting from the female presence among the nominees: with six women, awarded by the title, we reach one of the highest numbers of women awarded by the honour. This new milestone confirms a structural trend, the presence of women in business leadership is consolidated.”.
