WASHINGTON (USA) (ITALPRESS) – The White House has released the results of talks held in Riyadh between the U.S. and Russian delegations.

“In line with presidential-level discussions between President Donald J. Trump and President Vladimir Putin, the United States facilitated bilateral talks at the technical level with the Russian delegation March 23-25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a result of these discussions, the United States and Russia agreed to ensure safe navigation, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea,” the statement specified.

“The U.S. will help restore Russia’s access to the world market for exports of agricultural products and fertilizer, lower the cost of marine insurance, and improve access to ports and payment systems for such transactions,” the memo reads.

The United States and Russia “agreed to develop measures to implement the agreement between Presidents Trump and Putin to ban attacks against energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine. The United States and Russia welcome the good offices of third countries in order to support the implementation of the energy and maritime agreements,” it further reads.

In addition, the U.S. and Russia “will continue to work toward a lasting and durable peace. The U.S. reiterated President Donald J. Trump’s imperative to end the killing on both sides of the Russia-Ukraine conflict as a necessary step toward reaching a lasting peace agreement. To this end, the United States will continue to facilitate negotiations between both sides to reach a peaceful resolution in line with the agreements made in Riyadh.”
