Usa24, Italy’s Generation Z chooses Harris but thinks Trump will win

ROME (ITALPRESS) – 69.4 percent of ‘Generation Z’ (young people born between 1996 and 2010) hope for a Kamala Harris victory in the US elections, while only 30.6 percent hope for a Donald Trump success. These are the findings of a survey conducted over the past three days by the research office of UniversityBox, Italy’s largest digital community that, through a series of services offered free of charge, groups together more than one million high school and college students. From the survey, conducted on a sample of 500 young people, it then emerges that, regardless of personal ‘preferences,’ 60.7 percent are convinced that the new president of the United States will be Trump, as opposed to 30.3 percent who believe in a success for Harris. “A prediction,” explains Emiliano Novelli, managing director of UniversityBox, “that would totally change if Michelle Obama had taken the field instead of Harris. In fact, to the question that foresaw this hypothesis, as many as 65.2 percent said they were sure that success would go to the wife of the former president, while only 34.8 percent remained convinced of a Trump victory. “It is clear,” Novelli concludes, “that we are talking about a rough indicator that outlines how ‘Generation Z’ in our country is clearly in favor of Kamala Harris, but at the same time, also based on the news coming from the States, is convinced that the new president will be Donald Trump.
