Valanga in Val Maira, is a woman of foreign origin the dead ski mountaineer

CUNEO (ITALPRESS) – It is a woman of foreign origin the victim of the avalanche that occurred today, around noon, in Val Maira in the province of Cuneo along the ski route of the Autovallonasso. The incident took place at 2300 meters and involved a total of two foreign skiers: in the area was sent the Regional Service of Elisoccorso di Azienda Zero Piemonte with the technician and the cynophilous unit from avalanche of alpine rescue, who managed to reach the two people despite the strong wind.

When rescuers arrived at the point of the accident, the two overwhelmed people had already been extracted from the snow by other skiers who were in the area. The woman was already dead, while the man was in severe hypothermia conditions. The second alarm for an avalanche was launched around 14 from the area of Monte Albergian, in the municipality of Pragelato in the province of Turin. In this case, being involved in the accident, she was a woman with a strong chest trauma and a hypothermic principle, although she was vigilant. To lend the first aid were the companion of the trip and the teams of the alpine and speleological rescue of Piedmont.
